Netgear Ac750 | EX6100 Setup Using Mywifiext.Net

  1. Plugin your extender in electrical outlet.
  2. Connect your device to the extender’s WIFI network through the extender’s default WIFI network name (SSID) NETGEAR_EXT. The extender network either has no password or the default password is a password. You may get the warning that the Internet is not available which is expected.
  3. Launch any web browser and enter mywifiext.net. The New Extender Setup page displays.
  4. Click or tap NEW EXTENDER SETUP and agree to the terms and conditions, if prompted.
  5. Change your extender’s admin credentials which you will need to access your extender’s settings on a web browser. It is recommended to keep/ckfinder/userfiles/images/adf.jpg the default User Name as admin and opting for a different password.

  7. If prompted, use the NETGEAR Genie to help by clicking YES or CONTINUE.
Your extender will search for local WIFI networks.
  8. Select the radio buttons for your network’s 2.4GHz and 5GHz WIFI Network Names (SSID), if your network is not enlisted click on See More followed by NEXT.
  9. In the Enter password column, enter your existing WIFI network’s password and click on NEXT.
  10. Select SSIDs (Existing network name_2GEXT for 2.4GHz band or Existing network name_5GEXT for 5GHz and passwords for your extender). By default, the password for each band is the same as your existing network.
  11. However, for mesh extenders, you have an option to use the same WIFI name and password as your existing network. Select the Enable One WIFI Name check box to enable this feature if your extender supports it.
This allows your extender to use the same WIFI name (SSID) and password as your existing WIFI network. Click NEXT. Here, you go the settings will be applied which will take only a few minutes.
  12. Now, you can connect your device to the extender network, go to the WIFI settings and connect to the extender’s new network.
  13. Launch any web browser, select the checkbox at the bottom of the page, and click or tap Continue. Your extender is now extending your network’s coverage.
