Cafe 13 or like most locals call it ‘Tera’ is the first authentic standalone cafe of Patna. We closely associate with our hashtag ‘13meracafe’. Before the launch we conducted a market survey and found out the problems in the food industry for the youth. Since Bihar is a dry state the need to introduce the coffee culture to Patna arose. We wanted to create a place where our millennials could chill, relax and unwind from their daily mundane lives. Being a Cafe the entire experience is made up of Beverages, coffee being the biggest attraction. We use the finest beans available in the market. We have worked hard to create a menu according to the needs of the people. Apart from the coffees, our classic shakes such as the Kit Kat, Oreo and walnut brownie are the crowd favourites. During the summer months Mint Mojito and the the refreshing Green Apple Cooler is appreciated by our guests. Food is also an essential part of the culture at cafe 13. We wanted to have something simple, super delicious and pocket friendly. We also didn’t want to compromise on the quality and quantity. The menu initially wasn’t very large but it has grown overtime. During the lockdown we have reworked on the menu and made it more precise and stuck to the strengths of the cafe. Some of the local favourites here are Mixed Sauce Pasta, Double Cheese Margherita and Babycorn Chilli to name a few. Warm, welcoming & friendly defines Cafe 13. We wanted to use neutral tones in the backgrounds accompanied by floral fabrics to pop out. The use of plank style wood provides symmetry to the whole ambience. We have wall art all over the cafe that is informative and also contains quirky elements of the cafe. To compliment the interiors of the cafe, lively music plays a vital role to the whole ambience and create a sense of happiness among our visitors. Sometimes our guests like to play their own playlist and we are game to listen to their favourite numbers. The whole idea is to make them feel at home. As the owner, Yasheel Anand Singh wanted to do something for his hometown, Patna. He has over 12 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. He hired only those team members that show the basic nature of the cafe, being warm and friendly.A hotelier by profession and a big foodie at heart, he has worked on the menu from scratch to satiate the needs of the local crowd and also his own appetite. The menu comprises of some of his favourite items that he relished during his travels. He recommends Bun Omelette with Cheese, Eggs Kejriwal, Mac and Cheese and Vada Pav.
