Maharashtra Electronics Corporation has come a long way since Mr. Harbans Singh Chhabra started a store at Rasta Peth in 1975 with a small investment. The store sold radios, transistors, and other electrical items. Since then, it has been a long and eventful journey of four decades. As the business started growing steadily, MEC never looked back and ventured into consumer electronics opening multi-brand and exclusive showrooms at several prime locations in Pune. Today, MEC runs Twelve showrooms across Pune, all at prime locations. There are five multi-brand and three exclusive stores. The average area of the showrooms is around 4000 to 5000 sq.ft. and largest being the multi-brand showroom at Wakad admeasuring about 7000 sq.ft. All the showrooms are centrally air-conditioned and designed to offer an excellent shopping experience for customers.
